Designed for children ages 3-5, our program runs Monday through Friday from 9:30– 12:30 pm. Our team of experienced instructors are passionate about helping young children develop their creativity and become well-rounded individuals. Give your child the head start they deserve and enroll them in our Preschool Arts Enrichment program!

Music:
The Rhythmic Prelude to Emotional Intelligence

Incorporating music into a preschool arts enrichment program provides children with a myriad of benefits. Exposure to music enhances cognitive development, language skills, and emotional expression. Through singing, rhythm activities, and playing simple instruments, children develop a heightened sense of auditory discrimination, rhythm, and coordination. Moreover, group musical activities promote teamwork, collaboration, and emotional regulation, laying the groundwork for strong social-emotional skills.

Drama:
Building Confidence and Empathy

Drama activities in preschool enhance communication skills, build self-confidence, and nurture empathy. Through role-playing, storytelling, and creative dramatics, children learn to express themselves verbally and non-verbally. Drama also helps them understand and empathize with the feelings and perspectives of others, promoting social awareness. These experiences lay the foundation for effective communication, collaboration, and positive relationships in kindergarten and beyond.

Mindfulness:
Fostering Emotional Regulation and Focus

Introducing mindfulness practices to preschoolers provides them with tools to manage stress, build resilience, and enhance focus. Simple mindfulness exercises, such as deep breathing and guided relaxation, promote emotional regulation and self-control. These practices contribute to a positive classroom environment, where children feel safe, supported, and ready to engage in learning activities.

Art:
Unleashing Creativity and Fine Motor Skills

Art is a powerful tool for self-expression and creativity. Engaging in visual arts activities such as drawing, painting, and sculpting not only fosters creativity but also refines fine motor skills. These activities require precision and coordination, helping children develop control over their hand movements. The artistic process encourages problem-solving, decision-making, and self-reflection, contributing to the development of a child's self-esteem and emotional intelligence.

Movement:
The Physical Language of Development

Incorporating movement activities into the curriculum helps children develop gross motor skills, coordination, and spatial awareness. Activities such as dance, yoga, and outdoor play contribute to physical fitness and overall well-being. Additionally, movement activities foster self-regulation and mindfulness, as children learn to be aware of their bodies and emotions. This self-awareness is a crucial component of social-emotional development.

A Holistic Approach to Kindergarten Readiness

At Calabrese Arts, our preschool arts enrichment program integrates music, art, drama, movement, and mindfulness and is a powerful platform for fostering social-emotional skills and fine motor skills in young children. By nurturing creativity, self-expression, and emotional intelligence, our program prepares children not only academically but also socially and emotionally for a successful transition to kindergarten and sets the stage for a lifetime of learning and well-being.
