Elf the Musical Jr. AUDITIONS!!!

 

At Calabrese Arts, we do youth auditions a little bit differently than others. 

 

Tuesday at Kennett Friends Meetinghouse on Sickle street, young actors will meet the directors and play theatre games, learn the audition song and dance, and talk about what auditions look like. 

All who want to be in the show must come to the pre-audition rehearsal on Tuesday. If you have a conflict, reach out asap.  

 

On Thursday, those who wish to audition for a leading or supporting role in the show will meet at 4:30 again and warm up together, after which will be taking the actors in small groups to audition for each role they wish to go out for. We will post the cast list by end of day Friday. 

 

If you know your child wants to be in the show no matter what, please register now on the website. If you want to try Tuesday’s pre audition rehearsal and then see if we are a good fit for you, you can sign up after rehearsal in person or sign up online but the price goes up at noon on Thursday and registration closes at 6pm Saturday.

We make it a priority to feature every child who wishes to be featured. They may not get the role they set out for but they will become family with the cast and come away more confident, having grown from the experience of working together to create a one of a kind performance. It’s about the experience and we do our very best to make it a positive one. 💕

 

When you arrive on Tuesday, if you have not yet registered online to be in the show, we will have you fill out a contact form. This is a drop-off event! 

Please send your actor with a water bottle and a snack, we don’t want any hangry actors. :)

If your actor just wants to be in the ensemble they do not have to come to Thursday's auditions. But they are welcome to come if they want the experience!
